The first media contact about Kent Williams 2009

This morning Jason Mumpower misspoke and stated that I contacted the the media.

That is not true.

The first media contact that I received was by email below. Days later when I spoke to Mr. Kleinheider I told him that I didn't want to talk about it.

This is all exactly why women don't come forward with such complaints. It is very difficult for me to understand why if a woman requests to be treated professionally, and needs assistance to make that happen, she is later condemned as though she was the perpetrator.

I'm so sorry you are being used as a pawn in this mess. It's bad enough to be treated with disrespect the first time but when the second time is for childish reasoning like this it becomes a tragedy.

Looks as if Mumpower needs to be relieved of his duties as well if he can't keep the facts straight regarding an issue as important as this.

I would hate to think that 2 years from now that Republican voters will have to decide their legislature nominees based on who they're supporting for majority leader - assuming we hang on to the state house after the events of this week.

Let's face it - based on what I've seen of Mumpower to this point, he's as appealing as house leader right now is as - well, Jimmy Naifeh.

Where's Rob Krebs when you need him?

Good luck Susan - stay above all this incompetence and your star will rise in due time.

You are NOT the perpetrator...there are a lot of folks praying for you and who would be willing to help you in any way we can.

This seems preposterous. You claim this is the first contact with the media, yet the reporter is alluding to a charge you had already levelled. How did he know you had a sexual harrassment charge to call attention to if he was not made aware of it first?
